Why should athletes use CBD-CBG complex oil?

The combined use of CBD (cannabidiol) and CBG (cannabigerol) results in a synergistic effect, often referred to as the "entourage effect". This means that these cannabinoids work together to enhance each other's beneficial effects, allowing users to experience a wider range and more powerful therapeutic benefits. CBD is excellent at reducing anxiety, improving sleep, and relieving pain, while CBG has strong anti-inflammatory properties and supports brain and nervous system health. Together, these cannabinoids more effectively aid muscle relaxation, post-workout recovery, and overall well-being, providing a natural and effective solution for users.

Why Pure Gold Hemp?

Our full-spectrum CBD oil is exceptionally rich in terpenes and flavonoids. Our products are made from 100% organic hemp flowers, guaranteed free of chemicals and other contaminants. To produce premium quality oils, only the hemp flowers are used, which are first chopped, then finely ground, and the best of the plant is extracted using supercritical CO2 extraction. Thanks to this process, heat-sensitive components can also be separated, as a result of which the terpenes and flavonoids found in the plant also remain in the final product, which are very important for the Entourage Effect or "companion effect".

Thus, we can guarantee that every single bottle of Pure Gold Hemp full-spectrum CBD oil represents the same premium quality!

What is CBD oil?

Still not sure what CBD oil is? Don't worry, we were all in the same boat at the beginning of our journey. But now we're here to help! CBD (short for cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid molecule, or phytocannabinoid, found in the largest quantities in the cannabis/hemp plant. In recent years, hemp-derived products such as CBD oils have become very popular among health-conscious individuals. Although CBD is the most well-known hemp compound, the hemp plant actually contains many other beneficial compounds. Our Pure Gold Hemp products are full-spectrum CBD oils, meaning they contain ALL beneficial cannabinoids, including e.g. CBG, CBC, CBN…, not just CBD. In addition to these cannabinoids, our products also contain other beneficial ingredients, such as naturally occurring terpenes and flavonoids. All these ingredients, together with CBD, work synergistically to achieve the "entourage effect".

What is CBD oil used for?

Numerous studies are currently underway worldwide which confirm that CBD oil can be used to support various aspects of a healthy lifestyle. If you need help managing the daily challenges of life, hemp-derived products may provide support for you too.

The best part is that CBD is incredibly versatile, so you can easily incorporate it into your daily routine. CBD oil can be used for a wide range of wellness purposes thanks to its interaction with the endocannabinoid system (ECS).

Supercritical CO2 extraction

After harvesting, the plants are allowed to dry naturally and slowly. To produce premium quality oils, only the flowers are used, which are first chopped, then finely ground, and the best of the plant is extracted using supercritical CO2 extraction. A major advantage of supercritical extraction (SCE) compared to other methods is that a solvent-free extract can be obtained by simply reducing the pressure. Many other substances are suitable as solvents, yet supercritical carbon dioxide is the most common because of its low critical temperature, it is odorless, non-flammable, non-toxic, and easily accessible. Thanks to the low temperature and high pressure, heat-sensitive components can also be separated. As a result, the terpenes and flavonoids found in the plant also remain in the final product, which are very important for the Entourage Effect or "companion effect".

How to Use CBD Oil

The use of CBD oil is individual-dependent and can vary from person to person. Both humans and animals have an endocannabinoid system, which CBD can support. This system complements the immune and nervous systems and plays a role in coordinating their functions with other organ systems, as well as influencing mood, stress responses, and psychological state. If the balance of the endocannabinoid system is disturbed, it can increase susceptibility to diseases.

It is recommended to start the initial use of CBD oil with low doses to observe individual effects and allow the compound to accumulate in the body, as CBD is stored in fat, and 1-2 weeks are needed to reach a stable level. CBD oil has no toxic side effects, is not psychoactive, and cannot be overdosed, so it can be used daily. Gradual dose increase is recommended after the initial smaller doses, depending on the effects experienced.

It is important to avoid rapid intake of large doses, as this can cause resistance in the receptors, and the body may not respond appropriately to excessively high doses. During treatments, stick to small and medium doses, as high-dose CBD oil does not result in better effects.

For acute relief, such as in convulsive states, inhalation or vaping is recommended, as these provide a rapid effect, although they last for a shorter period. When the oil is consumed, the effect appears later but lasts longer, for several hours.

Possible Side Effects

CBD oil has no harmful side effects if reasonable dosing is observed. Mild dry mouth may occur, so it is recommended to consume more fluids. In rare cases, it can cause alertness, which may make it difficult to fall asleep. Since CBD has a blood pressure-lowering effect, it is worth considering this during dosing or consulting a doctor if you are taking medication for high blood pressure.

FAQ

Pure Gold Hemp CBD Oils

CBD is short for cannabidiol, one of the active ingredients of the cannabis plant. It is a naturally occurring famous cannabinoid molecule or phytocannabinoid found in the largest quantities in the cannabis or hemp plant, but also in smaller quantities in other plants such as flax or azalea. Like THC, CBD is produced in the flowers of the plant, and is only present in negligible amounts in the leaves and stems. Our body is also capable of producing compounds very similar to CBD; these endocannabinoids have an important effect on the nervous system and the immune system, although their exact mechanisms of action are not yet precisely known.

CBD oil is a liquid concentrate produced by extracting CBD from the cannabis plant and then diluting it with a carrier oil, such as coconut or hemp seed oil. These oils provide the beneficial effects of hemp without high THC levels, so consumers do not have to worry about the psychoactive effects of THC. CBD does not cause hallucinations or intoxication.

Our body has an endocannabinoid system, which influences the functioning of both the immune system and the nervous system. Millions of compounds and hormones are produced in our body, as well as cannabinoids (endocannabinoids), which are similar to plant phytocannabinoids (e.g., CBD).

Certain types of receptors on the cell membrane are able to recognize these molecules, thus the endocannabinoid system plays a role in intercellular signal transmission and in the process of intercellular communication. Cells with these receptors are present in many of our tissues and organs. Phytocannabinoids stimulate this system.

When the body experiences stress, the nervous system's function weakens, which over time affects every organ. The nervous system is responsible for regeneration, regulating rest, and the sleep cycle. If these processes are disrupted, we become psychologically exhausted, confused, dejected, and depressed, we tire easily, and it causes disharmony in our social relationships. CBD can have a beneficial effect on these physiological processes, thus playing a role in the treatment of stress, anxiety, panic disorder, depression, insomnia, post-traumatic stress, or schizophrenia. The effects of the compound are also being researched for symptoms of autism, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), and epilepsy, with several studies yielding positive results in the treatment of the listed diseases. In both the United States and Europe, there are already official, prescription-only CBD-containing preparations available for epilepsy and MS. Some research reports on the anti-inflammatory effects of CBD; its application can reduce conditions associated with musculoskeletal pain, rheumatic pain, and chronic pain. Its effect is compared to that of Omega-3, which also acts against inflammatory processes.

The endocannabinoid system, with its intricate activity in our immune system, nervous system, and all organs of the body, is literally a bridge between body and mind. It is through this system that phytocannabinoids connect to receptors in our body and exert their effects. The growing scientific evidence about our physiology was not available to us in school, and unfortunately, this information is still missing from most nursing and healthcare schools. The endogenous (within the body) cannabinoid system, named after the plant that led to its discovery, is perhaps the most important physiological system involved in creating and maintaining human health.

All animals except insects have an endocannabinoid system. It has been discovered that we produce our own cannabinoids, called endocannabinoids, which have a similar structure to the compounds found in the cannabis plant; furthermore, we have receptors for these molecules. This newly discovered molecular signaling system is essential for life and helps us stay balanced as we face the everyday stresses that affect us. Endocannabinoids and their receptors are found throughout the body; in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells. The endocannabinoid system performs different tasks in each tissue, but the goal is always the same: homeostasis, maintaining a stable internal environment despite external environmental fluctuations.

The best-known cannabinoid receptors are CB1 and CB2, whose existence and purpose were proven in the early 1990s. Both types of cannabinoid receptors are found throughout the body but are distributed differently. CB1 receptors are found in the highest numbers on neurons (nerve cells) in the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system, as well as in other organs of the body. CB2 receptors are primarily found on immune cells, including leukocytes, the spleen, and tonsils, but are also present in large numbers in other organs of the body, e.g., the brain.

Unfortunately, we learned very little about this topic in school, and there is a noticeable lack of knowledge surrounding this area, leading to inaccuracies or misconceptions among customers and readers. The simplest way to define the difference is that hemp refers to the non-psychoactive variant of the Cannabis Sativa plant, with negligible THC content, also known as industrial hemp, which was primarily cultivated for its seeds and fibers in the past. Cannabis, on the other hand, refers to the high-THC, psychoactive, cultivated variant.

Hemp oil, or more precisely, hemp seed oil. This should not be confused with CBD oil! These oils come from the seeds of the hemp plant. Hemp seeds, and the oil pressed from them, are derived from the hemp plant that has been cultivated for thousands of years, a true superfood, as it is packed with antioxidants and essential fatty acids. The cold-pressed oil from them contains a lot of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, so its consumption can have a very positive effect on our body. In addition, it is a food extremely rich in vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats. So the answer to the above question is very simple: CBD oil is a liquid concentrate, which, in addition to its high CBD content, contains little THC and is diluted with hemp seed oil, coconut (MCT) or even pumpkin seed oil as a carrier oil for the CBD compound. Hemp (seed) oil, on the other hand, is a cold-pressed oil produced for food or cosmetic purposes.

After harvesting, the plants are left to dry naturally and slowly. To produce premium quality oils, only the flowers are used, which are first chopped, then finely ground, and processed with supercritical CO2 extraction to obtain the best parts of the plant. There are many other ways to extract plant components, namely pressing, enfleurage, organic solvent extraction, and steam distillation. The great advantage of supercritical extraction (SCE) compared to other methods is that a solvent-free extract can be obtained by simply reducing the pressure. Many other substances are suitable as solvents, yet supercritical carbon dioxide is the most common because it has a low critical temperature, is odorless, non-flammable, non-toxic, and easily accessible. Thanks to the low temperature and high pressure, even heat-sensitive components can be separated. As a result, the terpenes and flavonoids found in the plant are also preserved in the final product, which are very important for the Entourage Effect.

These aromatic compounds create the distinctive scent of cannabis, pine, lavender, and fresh orange peel, for example. They are extremely useful as they attract pollinators, protect plants from predatory and grazing animals or infectious bacteria, and offer certain health benefits for the human body, which scientists are continuously studying. The term terpenoids is also used, but terpenes and terpenoids are not the same. Terpene is the natural form of compounds found in the living plant, which oxidizes and becomes a terpenoid as the plant dries – for example, during the production of cannabis. Terpenes, with their impressive health benefits and healing effects, have gained increasing attention from both users and researchers. The terpenes found in cannabis have unprecedented health benefits and can interact with CBD and other cannabinoids. Just to name a few terpenes found in the cannabis plant: Limonene, Pinene, Linalool, Myrcene, Beta-caryophyllene, Humulene…

Israeli scientists first described the basic idea of the entourage effect in 1998, stating that cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant work together or have synergy and affect the body through a mechanism similar to the body's own endocannabinoid system. For example, a recurring question is whether "purified" CBD (isolate), free from all other active ingredients, or full-spectrum CBD oils should be used for epilepsy. Although arguments are made on both sides, the entourage effect definitely tips the scales towards natural extracts. Ethan Russo, one of the most respected cannabinoid research neurologists, has dedicated several studies to describing the phenomenon. In short, research proves that the effects of individual cannabinoids, as well as flavonoids and terpenes found in cannabis, are additive. Thus, for example, a full-spectrum oil - which contains THC, CBN, CBG, terpenes, and other components in addition to CBD - can be used more effectively for epilepsy and other symptoms than isolated CBD.

Isolate:
As the name suggests, these isolates contain isolated CBD molecules. The product contains no other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, or fatty acids apart from the individual CBD molecules.

Broad-spectrum:
These are produced in two ways in the absence of THC:
THC is removed from a full-spectrum extract, or a CBD isolate is combined with other isolated cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids to create a product similar to a full-spectrum extract but without THC. This is perfect for professional athletes, for example.

Full-spectrum:
This is a special type of extract where the flower of the plant is extracted. The final product thus includes all cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and fatty acids present in the plant. However, there can still be differences between oils, as the extraction methods will truly determine the quality of the final product, both visually and in terms of active ingredient content. The most important mechanism of action of full-spectrum extracts is the so-called entourage effect, which means that the hundreds of compounds found in the cannabis plant work synergistically, providing broader therapeutic benefits. Generally, they contain 0.2% THC in accordance with regulations.
